Introductions Are A Bitch

Rule Of Thumb: Never Say For Yourself What Good Typography Can Say For You

What can I say? My names Heather Faye (No, the rhyming was not accidental.) and I'm twenty-one years old living in Canberra, Australia...you know, the place with the internationally known preschool - Parliament? I'm a full-time student at UC currently in my second year of High School Education majoring in English and History.

Question: Why would you want to teach Highschoolers?
Answer: Because you can't go home and mock a two year old.

But in all seriousness, I chose high school education because the idea of being pounced upon, and constantly touched by other peoples children kind of creeps me out, and I like that teenagers have actual opinions on shit.

On-top of a 40+ hour study week (Some may say I'm a bit of a perfectionist.) I also work part-time at a Catholic Club making rather poor coffees for people to old or to rushed to give a damn. Funnily enough my boss has a lot in common with introductions..and that my friends, is likely to be my smoothest insult of 2016.

Unfortunately for my love of parent-made-meals but rather fortunately for my love of frozen peas and microwave Mac N' Cheese, I live out of home with my partner, my best friend, our two dogs Apollo and Buddy and our cat Charlie.

Question: Whats one thing you learnt after moving out?
Answer: Sometimes buying new clothes is easier then doing the laundry.

...I'm not good at segues, the art of moving from one topic to another in a fluid motion..I'm also bad at maths and saying no to baked goods. Speaking of baked goods, I spend a lot of my free time making them. Boom, segue. Recently I've been trying to move my cooking skills to the savory arena but I'm yet to make a qualifying round, that is a meal I could label half decent...but once I have I'm gonna learn to make some kick-ass-knock-your-face-off cocktails. Alcohols pretty neat guys.

Question: Why do you enjoy drinking?
Answer: Because the Gorden Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares drinking game exists.

I'm thinking of getting into scrap booking and card making, plus I wouldn't mind learning how to knit...I too question wither or not I turned 21 or 71 some days. Feminism is pretty cool. I'm a bit of a stress head so I spend a lot of time searching Pinterest and Tumblr for self-care inspiration and I hoard cute pictures of pugs, but I'm hoping to become more proactive in my search for good-vibes, especially as semester 1 looms less then a weak away.

That's really all I've got for now folks,  I've got a Baileys to drink, a shopping list to write and a new book to start, so....thanks, you know for sticking around. (Unless your the people who read the first line and left, in that case screw you guys.)

Don't forget to Study N' Shit,
Heather
